Fishing has been hot!
Perch: Tons of reports of quality perch being caught on the lakefront, 87th street, 95th street and Navy pier are all producing. Throwing a fathead minnow on a perch rig has been the best method, but other folks are swearing by soft plastics like the 2" Keitech Easy Shiner.
Lake Trout: A lot of good reports right at the mouth of Cal Park. throwing a blade bait on the lake front has been the ticket to some good size trout.
Crappie: Crappie fishing has not slowed down yet, local bodies of water like Turtlehead Lake and Monee Reservoir have been producing very quality crappies. Throwing a crappie plastic with a hair jig has been producing larger fish, as well as live bait.
